Every publicly described Phantom Blade Zero loadout contains two main weapons and two Phantom Edges. S-GAME separates the dependable melee-and-ranged arsenal from the unconventional Phantom Edges that support expressive, devastating attacks. The launch game will decide the exact controls and balance, but the four-slot structure already supports a useful planning method.
PHANTOM LOADOUT CROSS
Two main weapons. Two Phantom Edges.
01
Give the main pair different jobs
Begin by comparing space and commitment. If one main weapon excels at close pressure, test a second that reaches farther or recovers more safely. If both occupy the same distance, look for a difference in timing, crowd control or execution access. A pair earns its place by widening decisions rather than repeating the same answer.
Powerful foes can yield their weapons and signature techniques, so the available main pair should evolve through exploration. Revisit an older pairing whenever a newly acquired technique changes its role. A weapon that once looked redundant may become the better opener or finisher after its signature option is understood.
02
Use Phantom Edges as punctuation
The official gameplay copy calls Phantom Edges less conventional and more intricate than the main arsenal. Treat them as punctuation around the main sequence: an opener that creates a route, a control tool that prevents interruption, or a decisive attack that spends a hard-won window.
Test the first Edge in isolation before pairing a second. Record the distance, commitment and result. Then choose a second Edge that covers a missing job. Without full launch data, role clarity is a stronger guide than a speculative ranking.

03
A repeatable testing loop
Enter a repeatable encounter, use only main weapon one, then repeat with main weapon two. Add the first Phantom Edge on the third run and the second on the fourth. Compare not only completion time but how often each slot creates a safe choice.
Keep the best-balanced four-role kit, then change one slot. This method preserves a baseline and makes the effect of each acquisition visible. It also suits an arsenal announced at more than fifty total weapons and Edges, where changing every slot at once makes comparison meaningless.
