Phantom Blade Zero Glossary

A concise glossary of first-party Phantom Blade Zero names and concepts, from Soul and The Order to Phantom Edges and Pang Town.

The Phantom Blade Zero glossary collects recurring terms from S-GAME’s public material. It favors official English names and short functional definitions, giving guides a consistent vocabulary before the complete launch localization and database become available.

01

Core terms

Soul — the protagonist, framed for his master’s death and living with a ruined heart. Phantom World — the alternate setting combining wuxia, fantasy, science fiction and folk horror. The Order — the organization named in PlayStation’s announcement description as the group that exiled Soul.

Phantom Edge — an unconventional secondary weapon; two can be carried beside two main weapons. Kungfupunk — S-GAME’s term for martial tradition fused with machinery, modern rhythm and unsettling invention. Seven Stars — the coordinated swordsman encounter shown in the Year of the Snake sequence. String Puppet — the crimson-thread second phase of that encounter. Pang Town — a rain-drenched location with roots in Rainblood.

02

Names across languages

The Simplified and Traditional Chinese game name is 影之刃零. The protagonist remains Soul in the official English material. Names without an official localized form should remain in English rather than receiving an invented translation.

The glossary will grow from the final game’s terminology and official store localizations. Stable names can then anchor entity routes across all fourteen wiki languages without changing the language-independent slug.
